Missy's Problem.

Missy was getting frustrated. Her efforts to create a clone body of herself, to ensure her personal survival, were getting nowhere. Annoyingly, it was proving relatively easy to reproduce humans. Even with the help of the copy of the human scientist Osgood Missy had failed to crack the genetic formula to clone Time Lords,

Speaking of which, where was Osgood? Normally she could be found in the laboratories, or the library, but Missy hadn't seen her for hours. And several of the experimental clones were missing too. These ones were all copies of the Doctor's past travelling companions. Not only had Missy been able to copy their DNA and psychological profiles, making them ideal test subjects, but they'd surely come in handy one day. Leading the Doctor into a trap, or simply keeping him off balance by  turning up all at once.

Eventually Missy tracked Osgood down to the bowels of her Tardis. Here the pedestrian infrastructure (or 'desktop' as the Doctor insisted on calling it) had a distinctly Gothic look to it. Missy found it most relaxing. Pushing open a door revealed Osgood and several of the clones. On realizing she had been discovered Osgood gave a little shriek, dropped her whip and ran off as fast as she could in her heels.

Missy tutted and shook her head. "It's always the quiet ones." she murmured. Still, it was a shame to let an opportunity like this go to waste.....
