CATSUIT! The Slavendelian Mission (5)

As the afternoon shaded into evening, the local police faced a problem. No one had arrived to pick up the runaway 'Rebeka Heideck', and they lacked the resources to cater for a prisoner of that nature. And no one wanted to invite the ire of the authorities by by ringing headquarters to ask for assistance. So when the head, or 'den-mother', of the local branch of the League Of Slavendelian Girls arrived demanding custody of the prisoner, the police quickly agreed.

Agent River knew that the transfer would be an excellent time to escape, but part of her mission was to find out as much as possible about the workings of the League. This was an ideal opportunity to enter one of their secretive Chapter Houses.  Through careful observations of the onlookers during her public display earlier, she had worked out what she was accused of and how she should act, and played along accordingly.

She was bundled into the back of a van, her police issue handcuffs replaced by a restraint of a considerably more elaborate nature. This, she learnt from an overheard conversation, was standard issue in case of runaways (it says much for the nature of Slavendelian security that every Chapter House has such expensive and elaborate equipment ready to deal with an extremely rare situation. A single Slavendelian woman rejecting the system is a deeply disturbing matter for the ruling elite).

The local Chapter House was in a town about half an hour away. She was lead down a narrow flight of stairs into a cellar with a small cell. After a meal of bread and water (one of the local girls fed her, her hands remained bound) she was locked in the cell, a length of chain fastening her arm-binder to a hook on the wall. That made it difficult to sit on the narrow wooden bench, much less lie down. It was going to be a long night...
