CATSUIT! The Slavendelian Mission (Epilogue 3)

After several hours agent River's phone rang. It was not good news. The Post Mission Analysis team had decided three votes to two that she had behaved recklessly in allowing herself to be taken to Kriegorn Castle. As such she would receive an official demerit on her personal record.

That irritated her, though she knew it shouldn't. She knew that PMA teams were notoriously conservative and risk averse, preferring a by-the-book failure to an unorthodox success. In addition, her bosses in COLLAR (Command Operations for Law, Logistical Analysis, and Resolution) were all former field agents themselves. They knew the score, and would take real world results over perfect paperwork any day.

 Still, she was something of a perfectionist, and criticism by any one, even the bean-counters, irked her. There was only one thing for it...The Forfeit. It had been a tradition for a long time, almost as long as the organization had existed. Any agent receiving a demerit had to pay the price.

Checking her computer, River found that most of her fellow agents were unavailable at the moment. But agent Firework was about to leave on her own mission. A quick phone call established that, if River hurried to her office, Firework would have just enough time to administer the Forfeit before leaving...





And so CATSUIT's first mission to Slavendel comes to it's conclusion. Only time can tell if there will be more.
